Bangla Awas Yojana Beneficiary Status: The Government of West Bengal, Chief Minister Shri Mamta Banerjee has launched a new scheme called Bangla Awas Yojana or বাংলা আবাস যোজনা to provide better housing facilities to the residents of West Bengal. WB banglar Gramin Awas Yojana is a part of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under this scheme, houses will be provided for free to the poor people of West Bengal.
The aim of the Bangla Awas Yojana is to ensure that every person in the state has his own roof. The government will be constructed more than 10 lakh houses under “Banglar Awas Yojana“ by the year 2022. Through this scheme Rs.1,20,000 will be allocated as financial assistance to the citizens.The amount will be given in 3 installments. The highest number of houses, which is 66,155, would be constructed in the district, Murshidabad.
