1.Through National Defense Academy(NDA)
The students who have a dream to join the Indian Armed Forces after the 12th board exam can join through National Defense Academy(NDA). Serving the nation is the most honorable job in the world. Each year the Indian government recruits thousands of candidates in the Indian army in various posts like an army officer, engineer, lawyers, soldiers, etc.
The NDA exam is conducted two times a year by the Union Public Services Commission(UPSC) across India. Mainly the exam is organized in the month of April and September. The candidates who have completed the class 12th board exam in any stream and willing to join the Indian army officer have to clear the NDA exam. The candidates who are between the age group of 16.5 to 19 years and completed the 12th exam can apply for the exam.
2.Through Combined Defence Services Exam(CDSE)
The exam is organized for graduate students. The CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC. Every year lakhs of candidates apply for the exam but only a thousand can qualify for the exam. The candidates who are between the age group of 19 to 24 years are eligible for the exam.
3.10+2 Technical Entry Scheme(TES)
How to become a army officer in India after 12th? The candidates who are complete the class 12th board exam with a minimum of 70% in physics, chemistry, and math are eligible for Technical Entry Scheme. Only the male candidates between the age group of 16.5 to 19 years can join the course. There is no exam, the candidates who are shortlisted will be called for an SSB interview.

4.Unversity Entry Scheme(UES)
The students who are in the final year of an engineering degree course can apply for UES. The students are eligible for the technical branches or elected as commissioned officers under the University Entry Scheme(UES). The candidates who are between the age group of 18 to 25 years are eligible for the exam
5.Short Service Commission (Technical Entry)
The Short Service Commission allows those candidates who are technical graduates or postgraduates to join the Indian army officer. The candidates will be selected through SSB or Medical Board. After selection, they are sent to Officers Training Academy(OTA). After training, they are included as short service commission officers.
